Norman is Oklahoma's largest college town and boasts a fair share of indie talent. Bands that have emerged from Norman include The Flaming Lips, Chainsaw Kittens, Starlight Mints, and Evangelicals. Norman's premiere indie music venue, The Opolis, is run by members of the Starlight Mints.
