This was my favorite Cads song. Its symbolic, angry, naive and idealistic.So many of the qualities that I experienced at that time.

I wrote it about a girl I smooched with when I was all of 13 or so. I still remember the smell of Silkience conditioner as I nuzzled into her long hair, still remember the feel and sound of our corduroys rubbing together.

I told her I was in love, she told me in very very certain terms "No you're not". It only made me love her more. Ah the wisdom of a 13 year old girl when the beast is at the gate.
